What is Microscopic Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment involves manipulation and removal of this fine piece of tissue. If we done this open eye then there is chance that some of the pulp part will be left behind during the removal. These remaining pulp tissues are in accessory canal which are missed when you work without microscope.
The pulp is made up of soft tissues, including nerve and blood vessels and extends from crown to the tip of the root.
In microscopic RCT even a tooth whose nerve is irreversibly damaged can be preserved and the bone can return to normal.

  • A) Microscopic RCT is done under the magnification so the success rate is higher.
  • B) Micro fractures in tooth can see easily..
  • C) Complete cleaning of root canals.
  • D) Complete filling without any leftover spaces is ensured.
  • E) Chance of instrument separation is reduced.

When the procedure of root canal is done there is lesser chances to left behind any tissues or canal because the dentist can view only acclamation of up to 10 time that seen with open eye and because of that the chances of failure in microscopic root canal is lesser.
